Is there anything more challenging than the organisation of a public event without the presence of the public?  

Probably there isn’t, but we managed to execute it for the Serbia Open 2021, and since then, to be the communication partner of the Serbia Open until 2025.

Challenge

How to organise an international tennis tournament at the time of pandemic without spectators and direct contact with players and change a negative perception of the tournament organised a year before?

Solution

 

We organised the 360 campaign, which helped the Serbia Open be everywhere, since people could not attend it.

We started with an online announcement event with Đorđe Đoković, followed by an OOH campaign, media tour of the courts, online panel for the humanitarian nature of the tournament; prepared a website, brochures, protocol; organised guest appearances and provided overall PR and digital support.

Conclusion

The Serbia Open successfully changed a negative perception of the previous tournament and positioned itself on the world tennis map.

We learned that, even during the pandemic, we could organise a globally covered event and maintain public attention.
